COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of keeping ourselves, our families, and our homes clean and germ-free. But, how do you do this if you have lost your job and cannot afford to buy paper towels, toilet paper, all-purpose cleaner or detergent?
While SNAP (Food Stamps) allows you to use your benefit to buy food (and, believe it or not, pizza, candy, soda, steak, and even lobster), it does not provide a provision to allow recipients to buy paper, cleaning, or hygiene items.
With unemployment rates on the rise, our Food Bank partners are struggling to meet the increased demand. Requests for paper, cleaning, and hygiene items have become more common, but these items are often not among the products that they receive as donations.
This is where The Clean Home Project comes in...
We raise funds, conduct product drives, and increase awareness of this problem. In 2020, we collected and delivered more than 6,200 items to our Food Bank partners and have become a reliable source for ensuring that those in need have access to the paper, cleaning, and hygiene items to keep themselves, their families, and their homes clean and germ-free.
For a mere $7.00 per package, basic paper and cleaning products provide a way to sanitize the counter, store excess food safely, and keep dishes, utensils, and clothing clean.
Killing germs keeps people safer, healthier, and reduces the probability of contracting food and germ-based illnesses. This is a win for individuals, families, and the healthcare system.
Your generous support and contribution will enable us to meet our goals.
We can't say enough about Earth Breeze! We are humbled by their support and truly grateful for their donation of 1,000 packages of Laundry Detergent Eco-Sheets. As a result of Earth Breeze's generosity, we are positioned to fulfill our Food Bank partners' greatest need by supplying them with 60,000 loads of laundry!
